Tattooed woman sitting on floor with her knees bent and her heard in her hand smiling

Oh, hey! I’m Ashton.

I’m a 30’s something childless photographer that absolutely loves working with kids and women in every season of motherhood. I’ve been at this for almost a decade and I truly love documenting the genuine love and connection that I see between families and their littles. Despite not having kids of my own, I’m damn good with them and have more patience than you can imagine. << An actual comment I get repeatedly from my clients, such a compliment. I believe a laid back approach works best with the toddlers and babes, so I prefer to let them take the lead and see where we go from there! Whether we’re working in your home or in the mountains, I’m ready to chase the littles and have a good time with you.

Some random facts about me:

• I’m from Virginia but have lived in Alaska for 12 years. I’ll soon be making the move to Denver, Colorado, though. Big changes!

• I have been self employed for over 8 years. I love working for myself and can’t imagine ever working for someone else again, ha!

• I’m an animal lover and used to have a whole tiny farm on my 5 acres in Alaska. Pigs, sheep, goats, bees, everything but the cow (or horse, haha).

• I never wanted kids, even from the time I was little, but I love connecting with kids. I actually started working daycare for the Air Force when I was 18 and became a lead teacher for 1 year olds for a few years. I loved my babies and I’m happy I get to still work with kids in some capacity.

• I’m neurodivergent, AuDHD to be exact. I find being AuDHD really helps me to connect with kids and allows them to feel comfortable to be themselves with me. If you’ve got a neurodivergent little, they’re safe with me and you do not need to stress about any extra time or breaks we need for them. I get it!
